The new Samsung Galaxy S 4 announced this week can claim the title of the first smartphone to use a glass Gorilla Glass protects the display 3. This interesting fact emerges from the data sheet for the Galaxy S 4 spread by Samsung, as well as the site of Corning, a manufacturer of Gorilla Glass.
The Gorilla Glass 3, basically the third generation of the glass (almost) indestructible Corning, was presented earlier this year at the CES 2013 in Las Vegas. Among the peculiarities of the Gorilla Glass 3 stands out the Native Damage Resistance (NDR), which should make it less obvious to the naked eye any scratches that might occur on the display. The Gorilla Glass 3 is also three times more durable and less prone to scratches of the previous Gorilla Glass 2.
